Who is That Sarcastic Girl?
Oh hey!
My name is Kacee Jackson. Most importantly I am a Christian. We live in a suburb of Houston where my husband is a youth pastor and I teach high school math.
So, here I am, writing a blog. Honestly, I have no idea what I am going to even do with this. I may never tell anyone...or I may put it all over Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Myspace, Xanga, AOLMessenger, and the Pony Express.
At the time of this writing I have only told my husband that I have started this. I didn't want to tell him, but I don't think married people should keep secrets (or the Bible says that, or whatever).
Also, I want to have at least one reader since my mom doesn’t have a computer.
The reason I decided to start a blog is because all my friends were doing it and I have a deep-seated need to fit in.
The real reason I decided to do this is because I read a book recently by Lisa McKay entitled You can still wear cute shoes and other Great Advice from an Unlikely Pastor's Wife. Is that even how you cite a book- by underlining it like in 4th grade? Anyway, I am super confused, because I cannot find her blog, website, or anything. Maybe she has gone off the grid? If anyone knows, I would love to be updated.
I loved the book. Pastor wives are the only ones who can understand our kind, and that’s all I can really say about that. I am sure I will write way more about my life as a preacher's wife, but let me end my first venture into the blogosphere with one of my favorite lines from the book.
Before it is read, please understand that I love my husband and my life, but the key idea here is that I had no idea what I was getting myself into three years ago.
"I realize each of our inductions into a life of ministry was met with different levels of enthusiasm. It's not every woman who looks forward to low salaries and high expectations. "
So, that’s that.
